ENG: Yesterday, I presented my paper “Musicultural Metabolism and the Bamboo Rift: Extractivist Realities in Changing Musical Bamboo Economies in the Bolivian Andes” at the Annual Meeting of the German Musicological Society in Frankfurt. The presentation formed part of the symposium “Sounds Like Extractivism” and drew on my ongoing research into the environmental and material dimensions of Andean musical culture. Many thanks to Annika Rink and João Romão for organizing the symposium and for creating such a stimulating space for discussion and exchange.
ESP: Esta semana presenté mi ponencia “Musicultural Metabolism and the Bamboo Rift: Extractivist Realities in Changing Musical Bamboo Economies in the Bolivian Andes” en el Congreso Anual de la Sociedad Alemana de Musicología en Frankfurt. La presentación formó parte del simposio “Sounds Like Extractivism” y se basó en mi investigación actual sobre las dimensiones ambientales y materiales de la cultura musical andina.
