From ancestral traditions of crafting Andean flutes like the siku, chhalla, and tuquru, to sustainable harvesting techniques rooted in local knowledge, this publication celebrates the remarkable connection between biodiversity and culture. Organized within the framework of the project “From Native Bamboos to Indigenous Flutes”, coordinated by the Center for World Music at the University of Hildesheim in collaboration with Conservación Amazónica – ACEAA.
